How to apply:

If you have found a job posting from our group on one of the major platforms, or if you would like to join the group through a self-funded position, please initially check the subject and topic of your interest. We regularly summarize job openings on this website, stating the respective research project in which we are looking for candidates. Besides, you may go through our website to check our research topics, methods and instruments, as well as recently published papers.

For your application, you do not have to meet a certain deadline (unless stated otherwise). When deciding to apply, please send-in your curriculum vitae together with a motivation letter to inform us about your background, motives, what your input will be to the group and what you want to pursue in your career. Please also name at least two people (e.g., previous supervisors) whom we may contact for reference letters.

After we receive your application, your qualifications and skills will be evaluated and you may be invited to visit our group to give a short presentation about your previous studies and to individually discuss job opportunities. Sometimes, this can also be conducted through video conference.

If we come to an agreement, your documents will be checked for formal eligibility (recognition of degrees, language certificates, etc.). You may be asked to hand in additional documents to submit with your application. At the end of this process, an acceptance letter will be issued to successful applicants.

We grant mostly work contracts, but sometimes also scholarships to Ph.D students or postdoctoral researchers. These are funded through governmental/public research contracts, or industrial/private support. We also invite and support self-funded scientists if their research interest matches the group.

We are an equal opportunity employer.
